Dispute over the sum of $257 for various goods delivered by Spencer Dayton to Davis & Ellis on April 1, 1806. File contains petition, affidavit, summons and receipt. Petition written by A.L. Duncan. Affidavit of Dayton sworn before Justice of the Peace B. Cenas. Summons written by Thomas S. Kennedy. Order holding defendant to bail by Kennedy and request of Dayton to discharge the suit written on verson of summons and dated April 30, 1806. Receipt provides itemized list of goods and prices, including men's and women shoes and a trunk, from Nov. 13, 1805 to Jan. 17, 1806.

Dispute between Robert Christy and Elijah G. Gallucia over the sum of $176.28 for various good and services. File contains petition, judgement, affidavit, answer, statement of account and fieri facias. Petition written by A.R. Ellery. Affidavit of Christy sworn before Thomas S. Kennedy. Answer written by R. McShane. On Oct. 24, 1806, Judge James Workman ruled for the plaintiff in the amount of $172 plus court costs. Fieri facias written by Kennedy. Statement of account lists itemized debts including labor on a schooner, shoes, one gallon of whiskey, and cash paid to various people including John Davidson.

Text, September 9, 1810. Article is entitled: Boat & Shoe Manufactory. "The Subscriber respectfully informs his friends and the public in general, that he has commenced the grave business in all its various branches, in Conti street, between Chartres and Royal streets, nearly opposite the office of he Louisiana Gazette, where they may depend upon being served with the best of leather and workmanship; and he is led to hope that, by assiduity and strict attention to business, he will be able to merit a share of their patronage."
