Abstract
File contains petition, judgement and covenant. Petition asked for approval of a "condordat" made among the creditors of I.G. Tomatis and notarized by Stephen de Quinones. Jean Nicholas le Boucher and Jacob Hart, the syndics of the creditors, acted as the petitioners. The covenant was agreed upon by Etienne Dubon, Clark & Rogers, John Poultney, William Walraven, Le Boucher and Hart. It lists the debts of Tomatis including a shipment of wood from Philadelphia, Pa. to New Orleans, La. petition and covenant written by L.A. Dupuy. On April 18, 1807, Judge L. Moreau Lislet confirmed the covenant and ordered it recorded in the clerk of court's office.

Abstract
Dispute over a Feb. 1805 shipment of 34 gallons of brandy and 694 pounds of nails from New Orleans to Natchez, Miss. on the barge Eliza. Samuel Packwood sought $171.75 from John H. Hudson, who made the shipment on the Eliza, for the value of the goods. File contains petition, Bill of lading and summons. Petition written by A.R. Ellery on behalf of plaintiff. Bill of lading written by Hudson. Summons written by Thomas S. Kennedy and dated April 15, 1806. Noted on verso that it was settled between the parties.

Abstract
Dispute between Jacob Trimble & Co. and James/Timothy Livingston for the sum of 1,606 dollars and 27 and 1/2 cents. File contains petition, affidavit and summons. Livingston received a shipment of goods from Hugh Moore in Cinncinati, Ohio, to be deliverd to Trimble on the boat, Eliza. Petition, written by W.A. Duer, lists items, including quantities and prices, that Livingston received from Hugh Moore including flour, candles, butter and lard. Summons written by Thomas S. Kennedy on April 26, 1806. Note on verso of summons asking to discharge Livingston from the suit by Trimble.

Abstract
File contains petition and summons. Petition written by Lewis Kerr, states that Roma Palmer received on his barge, the Lescadia, 200 barrels of salt shipped by Alexander Bailey, and the barrels were seized by Sheriff George T. Ross without any payment to Palmer. This occurred at the Port of Natzchez. Palmer sought $350 plus damages for the detention of his barge. Summons, written by Thomas S. Kennedy, was delivered Oct. 16, 1805.

Dispute between Etienne Debon and the merchant I.G. Tomatis over payment for 82.25 tons of logwood Debon shipped on the schooner Brother & Sister. File contains petition and affidavit. According to Debon's petition, written by A.R. Ellery, Tomatis was supposed to pay Debon $56 per ton of logwood. Affidavit of Debon sworn before Eliphalet Fitch, justice of the peace. Filed Dec. 20, 1806.

Dispute between Thomas McCormick and John and Charles Wilkens regarding the transport of goods to Natchez, Miss. on a barge named Industry, captained by Hamm Winn and owned by John Wilkens, Jr. & Co. on Aug. 28, 1804. File contains petition, attachment, answer and petition for appeal. Petition written by A.L. Duncan. Attachment written by Thomas S. Kennedy. Appeal bond for the Wilkenses signed by William Kenner. Answer and petition for appeal written by Joseph Brown. On July 27, 1807, Judge L. Moreau Lislet ruled for the plaintiff in the amount of $1381 plus suit costs.

Abstract
Dispute over the sum of $3134.81 for various goods and services, which William Chribbs and Robert Mitchell obtained from John Wilkins, Jr. File contains petition, deposition, current account, answer, affidavit and petition of appeal. Petition written by Brown. Deposition of Daniel Elliott, sworn before Thomas S. Kennedy, discusses Mitchell's finances including his alleged gambling in Tennessee. Account lists items purchased at Fort Mapac in 1799, including Indian goods and barrels of whiskey, and the cost of transportation of goods from Pittsburgh, Pa. Answer written by A.L. Duncan. Affidavit of A.L. Duncan, William W. Montgomery and Mitchell states that they are the administrators for Wilkins. On April 28, 1807, Judge L. Moreau Lislet ruled for the plaintiff in the amount of $3,034 plus costs on the confession of the defendant Chribbs. Petition of appeal granted by Moreau Lislet on March 7, 1808.
