Abstract
B&W photo, September 30, 1969. Chalmette National Park. Chalmette, La. Cannon line of the Chalmette Battlefield, scene of the Battle of New Orleans in 1815. Open land in the middle is the site of the battle. Many of the British soldiers who died during the battle are buried near the far end of the field, and in their honor, a British flag flies from a pole nearby, a little to the right of the smokestack.

Abstract
Newpaper photographs of Lake Charles high school's museum. The collection was gathered by Miss Grace Ulmer and includes artifacts such as a spinning wheel, stuffed animals, a phonograph, etc. The museum was destroyed in the 1951 fire. Newspaper caption: "At upper center is an old Wells Fargo sign advertising money orders for sale. The sign was dug up in Lake Charles. In the lower center picture, this old cannon's only marking is 'John Goss' stamped on its barrel."
