B&W photo, circa 1962. Historical Marker. Located at Pools Bluff, near Bogalusa, Louisiana. Written on marker: Union Avenue Baptist Church. Organized by eleven charter members in a log cabin at Pool's Bluff in 1855. Was first organized church and its building housed first school in Bogalusa area. Several log buildings, also used as schools, were occupied until 1874 when first lumber church was built. Moved to present location in 1913."
