WPA workers are making surveys of farms for terrace construction and checking the terraces after they have been built by land owners; sodding and planting bare spots subject to erosion, constructing dikes to protect gullies; building dams, grading roadside areas to prevent erosion by water draining from farm lands and planting trees. This view shows the Corney Lake spillway in Claiborne Parish, part of the D'Arbonne soil conservation district.
