Text, August 19, 1835. Descriptions of three murders near New Orleans. A Mr. Sollange was allegedly shot by a mulatto blacksmith, who claimed another black woman had committed the crime. A white man, Mr. Lesseps, and an African American man were found together dead. A slave was killed by a white man who was arrested but later shot at police when freed.
