Abstract
View made from a grassy area between the New Orleans Terminal Company's railroad tracks and the Old Basin or Carondelet Canal. Shown at the far right is a portion of the Crescent Steam Pottery Works at 3301 Carondelet Walk in the Bayou Saint John neighborhood. The canal is choked with water hyacinths, a drawbridge is seen in mid-view, and the American Can Company visible in the far distance.

Abstract
View of what remains of the old hotel in the Vieux Carre taken from the grounds of the Louisiana Supreme Court building across the street. The demolition started in 1916 and was completed in 1917. The Rotunda, or domed structure featured in this view, served as one of the city's most prominent antebellum auction sites. The 150 foot chimney partially visible behind the dome was part of the Cosmopolitan Ice Company's plant and stood at approximately 614 Toulouse Street.

View of snapdragons blooming in front of the Saint Louis Pumping Station number two, at the intersection of North Broad and Saint Louis Streets in the mid-city neighborhood, looking towards Canal Street along the river side of North Broad. The house at center left appears to be at the corner of Conti and Broad and may bear the municipal address of 2661-2663 Conti. The rear portion of the Convent of the Good Shepherd is adjacent to the smokestack at center. Immanuel Lutheran Church can be seen in the distance at center right. See also 2003.182.207

Abstract
View from the second or third story of the old Hibernia National Bank building on Carondelet Street in the Central Business District, looking towards the second Cotton Exchange building located at 231 Carondelet. The allegorical figures grouped at the center and above the Louisiana state seal are, from left to right, Agriculture, Peace, and Industry. According to a Daily Picayune newspaper article regarding the opening of the Cotton Exchange on May 12, 1883, the building's statuary was the work of A. Goddard, a Chicago-based sculptor.

Abstract
The Saint Louis Hotel was built in 1841 and located in the heart of the Vieux Carre. It stretched the length of the 600 block of Saint Louis Street between Royal and Chartres. The domed structure in the center of the view was known as the Rotunda and served as one of the city's most prominent antebellum auction sites. In the early 20th century the hotel had fallen into disrepair. That, combined with damages sustained during the 1915 hurricane, led to the demolition of the hotel which started in 1916 and completed in 1917.

Abstract
View made in the 100 block of North Rampart Street. It shows streetcar number 25 for the Dauphine line in front of the Arlington Restaurant and Randolph's Barber Shop at 108 North Rampart. The view extends towards Canal Street where a crowd is gathered. Maskers are seen clustered at the front of the streetcar along with a sign the reads ""Red Cross Gymkana..."". Tracks and a second streetcar are also in view.

Abstract
View shows a shotgun style house with a side porch at 433 North Broad. To the left is 431 North Broad, the home of John Mendes and his mother Lily. The house at the right is 435 North Broad. Part of the Saint Louis Pumping Station Number Twp, built at 444 North Broad ca. 1905, is shown. The front of the house at 433 has been modernized, possibly by John and Eliza Schroeder, who were friends and neighbors of the Mendes family.

Abstract
View of the Saint Louis Street entrance to the hotel during demolition. Designed by De Pouilly and completed in 1840, the enormous hotel was torn down in 1916. Shown are tops of Ionic columns that would have supported the second story balcony were it not gone, broken brick walls, gaping windows and doorways and exposed structural steel.

View of the Elk's Home located at 127 Elk Place. A line of automobiles are seen parked diagonally along Elk Place. The neutral ground which includes grass, a paved walkway, a bird bath, and small trees, is also seen. Sarpy's, a barbershop in the same block on Elks, is clearly seen. Photographer's notes: Elk Home. Picture made to show how a clever contractor's bad work was unexpectedly exposed. Old brick or plain was used where the building next door hid same. When this building was torn down photo shows why the Elk Home looked queer on one side.

Abstract
View of the construction site for the Orpheum Theatre, located at 129 University Place, facing the Grunewald Hotel (now the Fairmount, 123 Baronne) in the Central Business District. Visible is the steel frame structure of the theater. The rest of the block seen is largely comprised of mid-19th century townhouses, some of which appear to have been converted to commercial use. A couple is seen walking on the sidewalk. Automobiles, a trash can, and a fire hydrant are also seen. The Orpheum was under construction from 1918 until its opening on February 7, 1921.

View of the Poydras Playground, located on the neutral ground of the 1100 block of North Poydras Avenue in the Central Business District. The Moriarty Buildings are seen, as is Lavignes Drugs at 1133 North Poydras. The view looks into the 1200 block and the a circular tower or structure from the gas works is visible in the background. Although no children are clearly visible at the city playground, playground equipment such as swings, a slide, seesaws or teeter-tooters, and a small building are seen. The street in the foreground, South Poydras, is paved with bricks with an automobile is parked at the curb.

View tentatively identified as 8421 Poplar Street at the corner of Poplar and Pier Avenue in Jefferson Parish. A building with a sign reading, "Before Building See G Rand Geier and get the best for least money 8421 Poplar St. Phone W...98" is the focus of the view. Shown is a dirt road intersection and tall shrubs which obscure other buildings. Power lines and mailboxes are visible in this rural setting.
