Dr. W. B. Hatcher, president of Louisiana State university, today announced the resignation of Dr. Clyde Brooks, director of the department of pharmacology and experimental therapeutics in the L. S. U. school of medicine, to become dean of Essex College of Medicine and Surgery, Newark, N. J....Since he has been at L. S. U. he has done research on a number of projects, including the evolving of a new method with a new pip-ette for measuring blood sedimentation, determination of the toxic effect of sulfa drugs, devising of an apparatus for artifically aiding circulation in the limbs, determination of methods for measuring blood pressure, use of deuteropro-teose in the treatment of pneumonia, and chemotherapy in tuberculosis.
