President C. B. Hodges of Louisiana State university confirmed reports here tonight that Louisiana State university is making inquiries at state hospitals outside New Orleans as to the possibility of using their facilities for the university school of medicine.
Under the present arrangement, the L. S. U. and Tulane schools of medicine, both located in New Orleans, use the facilities of Charity hospital there, 40 per cent of the beds being assigned each institution.

Governor Jones' veto of the hospital's entire biennial maintenance appropriation of approximately $8,000,000 will result in a shutdown of the institution and thus eliminate the hospital facilities of the two medical schools, both of which are operating on a 12-month basis in the wartime accelerated program.
