The Louisiana Heart Association has named Lynn C. Woods, volunteer district chairman for Orleans, Jefferson and St. Bernard parishes and has announced a series of speakers on heart disease.
The appointment was made by Cyril T. Yancey, M. D., Monroe, president of the Louisiana Heart Association. Woods is from New Orleans.
Three talks have been scheduled on rheumatic fever. The first will be tomorrow by Dr. Richard L. Fowlerjof the Louisiana State university school of medicine. He will address the Sacred Heart of Jesus Mothers' club at 8:30 p. m.
Dr. Rosalind Novick, also of LSU, will addresTthe T. J. Semmes Co-Op Club Wednesday at 1:16 p. m. at the school.
The third speaker will be Dr. Francis Puyau, also LSU, who will be a speaker at William-O. Rogers school at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday.
