Summer research fellowships have been awarded 27 medical students by the Louisiana Heart Association. A total of $19,600 has been appropriated for the fellowships, Dr, C. T. >Yancey, Monroe, association president, said Tuesday.
Two of the students, both from New Orleans, have been awarded the association's-first, prof es* sional education fellowships. They will visit physicians to determine if they are familiar with the program.
The two are Charles Fischer of Tulane university's medical school and Frank Hall Wagner of Louisiana Stale university's medical school.
