Organization of the new, independent Greater New Orleans Cancer Association, Inc., was completed Monday with the filing of the articles of incorporation with the secretary of state's office.
The new group is composed of the majority of the former officers and directors of the New Orleans unit of the Amedican Cancer Society. It took this action following expulsion from the national society because of its refusal to withdraw from the United Funds this year and to conduct its own fund-raising campaigns in April, 1960, and thereafter, Dr. Joseph V. Schlosser said.
