Appointment of Dr. William jMalamud as new director of | mental health research for the [National Association for Mental Health, with which the Louisiana Association for Mental Health: is affiliated, was announced Saturday by Dr. W..E. Fr^e, president of the Louisiana Association.
In his new post, Dr. Mala-mud will have the responsibility of allocating grants to research scientists investigating the cause, treatment and prevention of mental and emotional illness. The new appointee was in Louisiana last year to assist in giving board examinations to young psychiatrists.
