A speedy compaign has been pawned by the physicians section of the United Fund's Professional Division to raise its $44,500 quota, Dr. Samuel Karlin, section, chairman, said Wednesday in reporting organization Complete for the October 4-21 Campaign.
"The 7 per cent increase in the campaign goal is needed to keep pace with present day trends toward more and better research and preventive work in both health and welfare fields, and with the general increase Sir costs for meeting community needs of our area with its 770,-000 population," said Dr. Karlin.
"New Orleans has grown during the past year in buildings, subdivisions, streets, industries and retail trade. As the community grows, its needs increase and the services in the United Fund are vital in meeting the problems of its people."
