Div Ambrose H. Storck, New Orleans, yesterday was elected president of the Surgical Association of Louisiana.
Other officers are Dr. George W. Wright, Monroe, first vice president, and Dr. Lawrence J. O'Neil, New Orleans, second vice president. Dr. Henry G. Butker and Dr. Edmund L. Leckert were re-elected for seventh terms as secretary and treasurer, respectively.
Elected to the board were Dr. T. Jeff McHugh, Baton Rouge, retiring president; Dr. Howard Mahorner, and Dr. J. Kelly Stone, retiring first vice president,
Papers were read by Dr Charles H Mosely, Baton Rouge; Dr. O'Neil; Dr. Michael L Mason, Chicago Ill.; Dr Samuel Karlin, New Orleans, and Dr Charles B. Puestow, Chicago.
Dr. McHugh, in the meeting's principal speech, praised the work of general practitioners as the basis of medical service.
