The Hippocratic oath was taken Saturday by 96 members of the senior class of the Louisiana State "university school of medicine.
Dr. W. W. Frye, dean of the school, administered the oath as the climax of a precommencement ceremony held in the Tulane room of the Jung hotel. The seniors are scheduled to graduate Monday at 8 p.m. in commencement exercises to be held on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge.
A high light of the program was the first presentation of the Peter Graffagnino award, to be made annually to the senior with the high-test scholastic achievement and who manifests exceptional ability in obstetrics and gynecology.
