Students and faculty members of the Louisiana State university medical school held their annual banquet and dance Saturday night at the Jung hotel.
Lt. Gen. Troy H. Middleton, president of the university, was guest of honor and delivered an informal address. Dr. Myron Wegman, head of the department of pediatrics, was master of cere-; monies.
Special guests included Dr. W. W. Frye, dean of the school; Dr.; Joseph Danna, professor emeritus of surgery; Dr. James Rives,; head of the school's department of surgery; Dr. W. A. Akenhead, acting head of the school's department of medicine, and Dr. Robert Matthews, head of the department of neuro-surgery.
