Funeral services for Dr. Chapman Reynolds, head of the department of pharmacology in Louisiana State university's medical school, were conducted Tuesday afternoon Dr. Reynplds, 52, died Monday night at his residence, 6024 Freret.
Dr. Reynolds joined the LSU medical school faculty some 15 years ago, and had been head of his department since about 1940. He formerly was an instructor in pharmacology at Tulane university. Later, he was an assistant professor in that subject at Marquette university, Milwaukee, Wis. He joined the LSU faculty from there.
Dr. Reynolds was awarded a doctor of philosophy degree from Tulane university, : and at LSU earned his doctor of medicine degree. His outside activity mainly was in the naval reserve unit here
Survivors include his widow, the former Miss: Charlotte Foster; two daughters, Mrs. H. H. Wells of Ennis, Tex., and Mrs. John M. Clark of Memphis, Tenn., a son, Lt H. C. Reynolds, United States Army; his mother, Mrs. Gale Chapman Reynolds and a sister, Mrs. Nels J. Moller, Pontiac, Mich.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of the House of Bultman, 3338 St. Charles. Interment was private in Lafayette No. 1 cemetery
