Description
A bill of sale for the transfer of 15 enslaved persons by Josias Gray to Ann Maria, a free woman of color. The deed was executed to compensate Ann Maria for serving as Gray's housekeeper since her emancipation. The inventory lists the names and ages of the enslaved persons purchased as well as their total value at $13,000.
