Description
Tall case clock with case built in the early twentieth century. The two sides are paneled with two panels and the back is a single board. There is a turned detailing and engaged columns on the front. The letters "JC" are inlayed in the front for Jefferson College. The clock itself has cut brass mechanisms with a brass and enamel face with sheet iron front and back. The pendulum is original with a brass base and a painted iron arm. The weights are copper and were replaced in the early twentieth century.

Provenance
Works may have been made in France by F. Vigroux and brought to the United States around the time of the Civil War. The current clock case was built by Reverand H. George. The clock was eventually at Jefferson College and was in the rectory of Lockport, Louisiana before that time.
