Condition
Overall good condition. One tool, with a wedge-like tip or a phillips head screw driver, is broken at the bottom of the handle, from the hole with the small copper alloy jewel holder. Some tools appear to have their shiny surface rubbed off, perhaps due to climate conditions or wear. Cuperous oxidation on the jewel mounts. Many of the jewels and mounts are missing. The silver mounts, where the steel tip meets the handle, are tarnished. The tips are structurally sound, however there are areas of active ferrous oxidation overall.

Description
Nine-piece set of teeth cleaning tools. The metal tips are constructed from wrought steel with specific head mounts for different tasks. The tips are about a inch long, terminating in double lines that turn into a beveled sword edge before tapering down to the mount. The tips are mounted in silver into carved mother of pearl handles. The mounts have six flat sides and where they overlap with the handle there the rim is chased with diagonal lines. Each tool has a carved mother of pearl handle that terminates with creature that resembles a Greek Dolphin or a fish. The fish's tail is carved and curls up to reach the head. A small red glass bead is placed into the eye and from the lips spew a water decoration. In the center of each handle a hole is bored through to place small floral shaped silver mounts that contain a white paste gem and at the end, in the curl of the fish's tail, a red faceted gem. There is also a hole bored in the eye of the fish for a small circular red gem.
