Description
Full-length portrait of three young children in an interior with carpeting and an upholstered rococo revival style balloon-back arm chair with dark maroon upholstery. The children are framed by a column located at the upper proper left background. The child in the blue and white dress sits on the arm chair, staring out of the frame. She wears an off the shoulder white dress with blue underpetticoat and died at the waist with a blue ribbon. She holds a wooden doll by the hat, just out of reach of the child at the center of the portrait. Her feet rest on a red upholstered stool. The children sit on a yellow shawl. The child in the center wears a white gown and reaches with both arms towards the doll in the girl to the proper left's hands. The girl on the proper right wears a white dress with violet underdress embellished with violet ribbons at the shoulder and waist. She holds flowers in the hem of her petticoat an and leans on the side of the chair with her proper left hand draped over the back. She looks at the scene between the two other children. She wears her hair parted, in ringlets.
