Pencil mark on base of marble reads "White." Possibly identifies Charles White of Philadelphia as the maker.
Inlays/Veneers
The base and skirt are mahogany-veneered.
Condition
Overall good condition. One gardooned molding missing from the meeting of a leg and the skirt.

Description
Rococo revival style rectangular center table with four rails and four corner blocks supporting the marble top. Triangular corner blocks are nailed to the rails and outer corner blocks. The top is supported by four S-curved legs carved from the solid. Each leg is attached to a base stretcher composed of two pieces cut out and joined together. The feet are turned and and carved with foliate lobes. The four feet are joined to the base stretches and sit on casters set into the feet. The top supporting the marble is a scotia molding with an applied cock bead at the base. The top of the legs have applied gadrooned molding. Four carved elements are are tacked to the skirt of the piece with foliate design. The base stretchers are serpentine. The base and the skirt are mahogany-veneered.
