Iron nails and screws, brass keyholes, and brass tacks on drawer runners.

Overall good condition. All locks missing.

Description
Four-drawer chest of drawers or butler's bureau with overhanging top supported by columns with geometric ball and half-ball turnings on high base with stepped back center section supported by turned spool, vase, and ball feet on all sides. Sides of case cherry set into panels of cherry rails and stiles. Thick stock used for drawers, no dustboards. Drawers are dovetailed cherry fronts with tulip poplar secondary wood. Bottom beveled on sides and front, slid into grooves on bottoms of drawer sides and rabbeted to front, nailed at back with wrought iron nails. Rectangular glue blocks on each side. Drawer runners possibly later secured with small nails. Back of case large boards of tulip poplar, laid horizontally. Cherry pulls original. Top doweled to case.
