"B W M" engraved on top of handle in script. "C. LUMSDEN" stamped incuse underside. Lion facing left in horizontal oval. Bust in vertical oval. "G" in circle.
Condition
Overall good condition. Adhesive residue on end of handle.

Description
Ladle with oval bowl and curved, slightly faceted neck and shoulders with long tapered shaft rectangular in section with fiddle-like handle and rounded end. Underside of handle with slightly raised section bisected. Monogram in handle.

Inscriptions include the monogram of original owner Benjamin William Maclin (born November 1806), in whose family the ladle descended.
