"I believe this is Jane Shore / mistress of Edward IV / this painting from Stratford Hall" on adhesive label on back of canvas.
Surface Treatments
Bronze powder and gold leaf is applied to the surface of the frame.
Condition
Overall poor condition. Canvas has been relined. Numerous fills of an unknown resin at several areas: one at the collar; two in the hair; one at the back of the head; one on the cheek to the right of the lips. Puncture tear at proper-right shoulder. Frame has been regilded, with major losses at the outside edges. See CIS-2013-1025 for comparison in ornament.

Description
Oil on canvas portrait of a woman in a three-quarter position, looking downward. Sitter wears a brownish-red kirtle with ermine fur trimmings at stomach and along the shoulders, neckline and chest. High-standing collar with lace and black and white patterned floral across the upper part of the shoulder and chest. An elongated pearl earring hangs from her left ear. Canvas is on a conifer (possibly pine) strainer with keys. Conifer frame (gilded) mitred at corners and nailed. Water leaf and leaf and dart patterned composite ornament applied to each corner of coved frame. Painting set into frame with small iron tacks.
