Marks/Inscription/Labels
Coffee pot, creamer, sugar bowl, and waste bowl have "S. Kirk & Son" stamped incuse with "11.oz" stamped incuse with rectangle around. Tea pot has "S. Kirk & Son" stamped incuse and "11.oz" also stamped incuse.
Condition
Overall good condition. Both handles of the urn are loose and spout is dented. The coffee pot handle is very loose and dented in engraving space. The creamer has a break in handle and unstable base. The waste bowl container has detached from base.

Description
Six-piece coffee and tea service comprised of hot water urn, tea pot, coffee pot, creamer, sugar bowl, waste bowl. Hot water urn is chased and repouseed with a castle design in center of front surrounded by trees. On reverse is additional castle scene with space in middle for engraving (which is blank). Both sides have birds flying. Around the base is chased and repouseed flowers and leaves. A twisted rope motif separates base from container and molding repeated at very bottom of base. Spout has a cast handle with a circular beaded pull in center and decorative C-scrolls connecting it to spout. Handles join the rim of the container with a cast floral design and extend upward and out with two right angles and join the container with palm-like foliate attachments. Two ivory spacers on each handle. Top outer corners of handles are cast ram's heads with chased foliate motifs on handles. Lid is chased and repouseed in same flower and leaf pattern as urn. Finial on lid is a spray of leaves with sunflower. The coffee pot is chased and repouseed with central castle scene on front and a similar scene on reverse with a space in center for engraving that is empty. Chased and repouseed flower and foliate design on base, around castle scene, and onto the bottom of the spout. On sides of spout there are chased foliate designs extending up to opening with a bent back frond tip at the end. Handle is attached to rim with a cast floral design and handles join the rim of the container with a cast floral design and extend upward and out with two right angles and join the container with palm-like foliate attachments. Two ivory spacers on each handle. Top outer corners of handles are cast ram's heads. Chased foliate motifs on handles. Lid is hinged to back with chased and repouseed leaves and grapes on top of lid. Lid is chased and repouseed in same flower and leaf pattern as container finial on lid. Lid is a spray of leaves with sunflowers. Tea pot is chased and repouseed with central castle scene on front and a similar scene on reverse with a space in center for engraving that is empty. Chased and repouseed flower and foliate design on base, around castle scene, and onto the bottom of the spout. On sides of spout there are chased foliate designs extending up to opening with a curled frond tip at the end. Handle is attached to rim with a cast floral design and handles join the rim of the container with a cast floral design and extend upward and out with two right angles and join the container with palm-like foliate attachments. Two ivory spacers on each handle. Top outer corners of handles are cast ram's heads. Chased foliate motifs on handles. Lid is hinged to back with chased and repouseed leaves and grapes on top of lid, which is chased and repouseed in same flower and leaf pattern as container. Finial on lid is a spray of leaves with sunflowers. Creamer includes a castle scene in center of each side which are slightly different. Blank spot for engraving under spout. Around castle scene and engraving area is chased and repouseed flowers and leaves. Handle is thin cast attached to rim and extends up and over in two right angles and joins body of vessel with a curved palm. Cast ram's head on outer corner. Under the spout and rim are chased and repouseed acanthuses, and the same leaves are repeated on body of vessel above the join to the base. Bottom of the base is chased and repouseed with flowers. Sugar bowl is chased and repouseed with a central castle scene. Two scenes on back flanking space for engraving (which is empty). All around the scenes are chased and repouseed flowers and leaves. Two thin cast handles attached to rim and extend up and over in two right angles and join body of vessel with a curved palm. Cast ram's head on outer corner. Chased and repouseed acanthus leaves extending from joint of base to body upwards. Base has chased and repouseed flowers and leaves. Stepped dome lid has chased and repouseed flowers and leaves along bottom step and acanthus leaves on top step to which the finial is applied. Finial on lid is a spray of leaves with sunflowers. Waste bowl includes two scenes on opposite sides of outside of bowl, both with small gable front buildings with arched arcades and various outbuildings and small bridges. Between two scenes on one side is a space for engraving (which is empty). Around these scenes are chased and repouseed leaves and flowers. Base is chased and repouseed flowers.
