Dispute between Alexander Milne, Jr. and Charles Gios over the sum of $2,361.50 for various items Gios purchased from John Taylor between 1801-1806 including two umbrellas, brandy, two blankets and a bottle of sincture bark. Milne acted on behalf of Taylor, a merchant of the Bahamas, in this suit. File contains petition, affidavits, statement of account, copies of promissory notes, answer and bond papers. Petition written by Lewis Kerr. Affidavit of Milne sworn before Kerr. Affidavit of Taylor giving Milne power of attorney sworn before Samuel Cobb. Second affidavit of Taylor sworn before the notary public John McCartney. Cobb's affidavit sworn before McCartney. Answer written by James Cesar Paillette and filed Aug. 30, 1806.
