Text, date unknown, probably circa 1930s. Document describing Our Lady of Prompt Succor, a saint "more often resorted to than the Virgin in her capacity of immediate deliverer." Includes a prayer, composed by the “foundress” of the devotion, Mother St. Michel. Describes the history of the Spanish and French nuns recruited to the Ursuline order circa 1810 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Describes miracles and historic episodes of "spiritual favors" attributed to Our Lady of Prompt Succor, including fires and miraculous cures. The statue and shrine created in her honor as described as well. Includes bibliography.
