One expert defense witness, Dr. W. J. R, Camp of the. University of Illinois, said he feels certain thdt the Nashville contractor did not die as the result of chloral hydrate—knockout drops.
He said he believed Dunn succumbed to a "cardiac condition." Not Enough Poison
Another defense expert, Dr. Ralpn N. 'Brauer of Louisiana State university, said in his opinion there was not enough chloral hydrate found in Dunn's body to have been fatal.
The defense witnesses were answering state experts who earlier had testified they were con-vincd Dunn was given a lethal dose of knockout drops in the Latin Quarter night club on Bourbon st., where he was robbed.
Carlo Quartararo, operator of the club, and Lucille Carolina Cotta, a B-drinker, are on trial for the murder.
The state brought forth no witness who testified that he actually saw either Quartararo or Miss Cotta administer knockout drops to the victim. Takes Exception
Stanley and G. Wray Gill defense attorneys, have tried to prove that Dunn actually died of a heart ailment.
Dr. Camp took exception to the manner in which the examination of Dunn's exhumed body was made by chemists who testified
